Building Lasting Wellbeing and Healthy Habits
Join us for a supportive group program designed to help you build healthy habits, improve your physical and mental health, and create a sustainable path to personal growth. Each session explores a key aspect of wellbeing—nutrition, physical health, mental resilience, emotional balance, and personal transformation—because true wellbeing comes from a holistic approach where all these elements work together. You’ll gain practical tools and insights to help you thrive.
This program is facilitated by Louanne Hardy, Women’s Health Counsellor at Desert Blue Connect, alongside local expert guest speakers.

Program Outline:
Session 1: 6th May
Getting Started: Wellbeing & Healthy Habits
An introduction to the program and the foundational concepts of wellbeing and habit-building. Learn how making gradual, sustainable changes can lead to long-term improvements in your overall wellbeing and create lasting positive impacts on your life.
Session 2: 13th May
Nutrition for Wellbeing
Guest Speaker: Fran Foulkes-Taylor (Dietitian)
Explore the connection between nutrition and the gut microbiome, and how gut health impacts mood and hormones, including those that influence mood and libido. Learn the importance of good nutrition for overall wellbeing and practical ways to support your body through diet.
Session 3: 20th May
Physical Health & Mobility
Guest Speaker: Sally McKenzie (Physiotherapist)
Discover why maintaining physical health and mobility is crucial, especially as hormones shift over time. Learn how to strengthen your pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, and how Pilates can support these key areas for long-term wellbeing.
Session 4: 27th May
Mental Health & Self-Care
Guest Speaker: Angie Jefferys (Counsellor)
Understand how mindset—fixed vs. growth—affects your mental health and wellbeing. Learn how to prioritise self-care and fill your cup to maintain emotional balance and resilience.
Session 5: 3rd June
Connecting Body & Soul
Guest Speaker: Ersilia Tarantino (Life Coach)
Explore how connecting with your emotions and body can bring peace and harmony. Learn how personal transformation starts from within and how to achieve lasting change and a deeper sense of wellbeing.
Session 6: 10th June
Looking Ahead: Reflection & Future Wellbeing
Take time to reflect on the course, review progress, and explore strategies for sustaining your wellbeing in the future.

Time: 6pm-7:30pm
Venue: Desert Blue Connect Studio, 28 Durlacher Street, Geraldton
Cost: $80 for the full program. Subsidies are available for concession holders—please contact us directly for concession holder registration.
