Our Community Initiatives team is committed to improving health outcomes and strengthening support networks across the rural and remote Mid West—especially for women. We deliver inclusive, practical programs that empower women and communities through connection, education and early intervention.

We focus on raising awareness around key women’s health issues, breaking down stigma, and promoting respectful relationships—while also working to prevent sexual assault and family violence.

Our work includes:

• Health and wellbeing events focused on women and men
• Women’s social groups to build connection, confidence and resilience
• Community information stalls and health promotion activities
• School and community-based education sessions
• Sexuality and respectful relationships education for girls aged 12+
• Child protection and abuse prevention workshops for families, schools and local groups
• Tailored prevention education addressing sexual assault and family violence
