Men’s Counselling
Supporting men’s wellbeing, accountability and change
Confidential support to help you understand yourself, manage challenges, and make positive change.
At Desert Blue Connect, our men’s counselling service provides a safe, non-judgemental space to talk things through, gain insight, and work on the things that matter to you.
We support men with a range of concerns, including:
- Using or experiencing family and domestic violence
- Anger, emotional regulation and conflict
- Mental health challenges like anxiety, depression or stress
- Trauma and the impacts of past abuse or violence
- Substance use and addiction
- Grief, loss and relationship breakdowns
- Identity, fatherhood and self-worth
Our counsellors understand that behaviour doesn’t happen in a vacuum. We take a trauma-informed, person-centred approach that supports men to unpack the underlying issues that can drive harmful or unhealthy patterns—including violence and control.
Whether you’ve been referred or you’re reaching out on your own, counselling can help you:
- Better understand your behaviour and choices
- Develop practical tools to cope and respond differently
- Build stronger, safer relationships
- Improve emotional wellbeing and mental health
- Take responsibility and make lasting change
Sessions are one-on-one, free, and fully confidential.
Criteria for service
We accept referrals from Police, Department of Justice, Department of Child Protection and Family Services and other local community services. Men can also self-refer.
