An “Illuminate” workshop that combines art and self-exploration will be held for girls on Tuesday 17th of April 2018 at the Desert Blue Connect Studio. This event coincides with Youth Week WA which runs from 13th April to 22nd April 2018, an annual celebration of the positive contributions of young people to Western Australia. This week encourages youth to share ideas, attend events, discuss youth issues, showcase their talents and even have some fun!
The workshop is aimed for girls aged 11-14 years who will explore their strengths, self-identity and increase their ability to set goals. The final part of the workshop includes creating a self-identity portrait on canvas.
The workshop will be facilitated by Jasmyn Williams and Sarah O’Malley, Community Educators who work with youth. It will be held at the Desert Blue Connect Studio, 28 Durlacher Street, Geraldton from 10am to 12.30pm on the 17th April 2018. Cost is $15 per person and payment can be made via cash or credit card at reception. Booked is secured upon payment and numbers are limited so book early.
