Join us for a morning tea and survey session on Monday 11 August, where you’ll have the opportunity to take part in an important research survey focused on improving support services for people who have experienced family, domestic, or sexual violence.
This event is open to both:
- People with lived experience who would like to complete the survey
- Service providers who work with and support people affected by violence
Morning Tea and Survey Session
Date: Monday 11 August
Time: 10:00am – 11:30am
Location: Desert Blue Connect Studio, 28 Durlacher Street
Morning tea provided
Staff will be available to assist with survey completion. Those who complete the survey on the day will go in the draw to win a $100 Buy Local Gift Card.
Service providers are encouraged to attend, either to bring clients who wish to complete the survey on the day, or to learn more about the research and how to share the survey safely and appropriately within your organisation. Louise Fischer from Edith Cowan University, a member of the research team, will be there to explain the research and answer any questions.
About the Survey
The survey is part of a research project led by Edith Cowan University in partnership with the WA Police Force and the Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing. It focuses on identifying barriers and gaps in accessing support and reporting services across Western Australia.
The survey asks about:
- Services accessed, tried to access, or could not access
- How services responded and what could be improved
- Preferred ways and places to report violence
- Challenges faced in seeking help
- This is an opportunity to ensure the voices of people with lived experience are heard and to improve how services, including police and community organisations, respond to victim-survivors in the future.
- The survey takes around 15 to 17 minutes to complete, is completely anonymous, and does not require you to provide names or service details unless you choose to.
Can’t Attend?
If you’re unable to join us in person, you can still complete the survey online here: https://eaecu.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cMDS5Wq8b11x578
RSVP is essential for catering purposes. Please email: meegant@desertblueconnect.org.au
We encourage you to come along, take part, and help us contribute to making support services safer, more responsive, and more accessible for those who need them.
