Desert Blue Connect invites you to join us for the annual March against Violence (MAV). This year’s event will be held on November 23rd at Stow Gardens (near the Geraldton Multipurpose Centre), from 9am-11am.
The MAV aims to raise awareness of family violence and sexual assault, and promote respect and equality. The event commences with guest speakers before participants commence a short march along the Geraldton foreshore area. It is a peaceful community event which also pays respects to the West Australians who die each year as a result of family violence. This year the theme of the MAV is “Children are our future. Empowered children create a safer future”.
All are welcome to attend. Following the MAV, a sausage sizzle and optional reflection paddle-out with A Glassy Day Surf Coaching are available.
