Desert Blue Connect is pleased to announce that Meegan Taylor officially commences as Chief Executive Officer today, 4 May 2026.
Meegan is a familiar and highly respected leader within Desert Blue Connect, having served as Business Services Manager since 2021. In this role, she has overseen the Women’s Wellness Centre and Chrysalis House Women’s Refuge, leading trauma-informed, community-based women’s health and family and domestic violence support and prevention services that provide safety, healing and practical support to women, children and families across the Mid West.
Her transition into the Chief Executive Officer role marks an exciting new chapter for both Meegan and Desert Blue Connect.
Chair of Desert Blue Connect, Karin Grima, said “Meegan brings a wealth of sector experience and a strong understanding of the organisation’s services and operations. The Board is confident in her leadership and her ability to strengthen the organisation’s established foundations.”
Meegan brings more than fifteen years of experience across the women’s health and family and domestic violence sector in Western Australia. Prior to Desert Blue Connect, she held leadership and management roles across organisations including the Health Consumers’ Council WA, South Coastal Women’s Health Services, Protective Behaviours WA and Women’s Legal Service WA.
Across her career, Meegan has focused on strengthening service delivery, building organisational capacity, and developing trusted relationships with staff, clients, funders and community partners, with a genuine commitment to First Nations people and a strong focus on ensuring services are culturally safe, respectful and welcoming for Aboriginal communities.
Meegan Taylor said, “Stepping into the role of Chief Executive Officer today is something I feel incredibly honoured by. Desert Blue Connect is a place deeply connected to this community, and I’m grateful for the trust placed in me to continue this important work alongside such a dedicated and compassionate team.”
“At the heart of everything we do are women, children and families who deserve to feel safe, supported and heard. I’m committed to building on the strong foundations already here and continuing to grow services that meet people where they are, with care, respect and understanding.”
Meegan’s leadership continues to be guided by a strong focus on trauma-informed, inclusive and person-centred wrap around services for women, children and families across the Mid West.
Desert Blue Connect warmly welcomes Meegan into her new role as Chief Executive Officer.
